The Unforgiven (Korean: Yongseobadji mothan ja) is a 2005 South Korean drama film directed by Jong-bin Yun. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.[1]
Plot
Two old high school friends serve in the Korean Army. Tae-jung is an army sergeant and a new soldier, Seung-yong, enters the military late due to a university deferment. Seung-young gets into trouble for questioning other enlisted men who are of higher rank, although Tae-jung keeps trying to defend him. However, Tae-jung is then discharged and Seung-yong is left to fend for himself, all the while hoping that he can change the military culture, which he regards as bullying.
